Topic: Bugs

OP identification seems to be broke. replied to a topic and it said I was not identified as OP, even though I was and the eventual post correctly showed that.

Also, layout is a bit choppy, and there's no standard for the css, so while they all work somewhat, special pages are goofy (and inconsistently so).

The CSS/layout will break if you quote a reply (Fixes the goofy layout bug, I don't understand this but whatever).

You have to change the amount of post to be displayed for topics to appear (Seems like the default setting is on 0 or isn't set.)

Once you delete the broken topic the goofy layout glitch comes back.

When you use certain styles the header on the site disappears.

After you create a bulletin it sends you to a broken page even thought the bulletins submit.

The time on bumps and edits is off.

The wiseguy page is missing (just use the content manger to add it).

Ad's only work on the first thread.

@18
Are you unable to edit posts?

edit:
> Anonymous B just kept on posting
I lol'd heartily when I noticed that

I rather not make a huge post. I prefer adding multiply post so we can count the bugs. (even thought you can count them the other way).

I checked it, and the default setting is 100. Don't know what's up.

@17
fix'd

@22
Ads fixed. In topic.php, find

if($topic_replies > 0 && $topic_author != 'admin')

change 'admin' to 'author'

Something is wrong with the items per page setting, making topics inaccessible or something. <-also affecting the profile pages it seems

Also, something's up with the events script. The page doesn't properly </table> or whatever if there aren't any events, causing the page "footer" to appear above the page content.

Well, the topic issue can be worked around (not the same as fixed) by finding this in index.php:
//Process the values for this row of our table.
$values = array (
'<a href="/topic/' . $topic_id . '">' . htmlspecialchars($topic_headline) . '</a>',

and replacing "/topic/' with "/topic.php?id='
This only works with viewing topics though, posting/editing still redirects improperly.

if(empty($stylesheet))
{
$stylesheet = 'global';
$sql = "UPDATE `AnonTalk`.`user_settings` SET `style` = '$stylesheet' WHERE `user_settings`.`uid` = '$UID' LIMIT 1" ;
$send = send($sql);

}

TO FIX THE NO-TOPICS BUG ON LITERALKA VERSION:

REPLACE THIS BLOCK
if(!isset($stylesheet))
{

$stylesheet = "";

}

with the above code

replace the AnonTalk with your DB's name.

Hmmm. When logging in on a different machine, topics are still not visible until you modify the the settings in dashboard. It would seem the problem is related to the creation of cookies.

Also, on the admin side, profile viewing no longer works. This also seems to have coincided with the 10th thread.
*Fixed

When posting as Admin, topic tracking does not identify "You", and only Anonymous posts are counted in statistics. This is (presumably) because the Admin UID is stored in config.php, but not topic/reply database. My suspicions are further confired by the fact that posting anonymously and then replying as Admin, Admin is not shown as "OP" either.

Ha! I just noticed, dev.bbs and dev.beta are the only 2 ATBBS sites that work properly on secure machines. All the others continually attempt to generate an ID unsuccessfully. Even "ATBBS 2.0".

Well, I've got the whole 'posting as admin' thing worked out so that you can select whether or not to link to the sysop page. Also implemented the same for mods. Only problem is, Wiseguy currently overrides the VIP name. For sites with multiple mods, it would be nice to allow the VIP to override the default 'Wiseguy' name.

Still haven't figured out what got fucked up with citation links...

Any recent bug has ben fixed?

Unfortunately, no. Development has been stagnant due to a lack of people I can ask about stuff I don't understand.
